Running on volunteers

Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation thanks local volunteers and announces a new fundraiser fun for next fall in Surrey.

As the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation celebrated National Volunteer Week (April 21 to 27), the organization took the opportunity to recognize the volunteers that support the foundation’s vision of creating a future without breast cancer.

Each year, more than 17,500 volunteers dedicate their time to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

While all volunteers were thanked for their commitment, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation announced the launch of their new run site at Bear Creek Park, the 2013 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, which will take place on Oct. 6.

Surrey residents Paul Sahota and Chelsea Knowles, have taken on the volunteer role of run directors.
