Four Surrey residents won gold medals for scoring the top marks in British Columbia in the 2011 Royal Conservatory examinations.
The winners got their medals in April in the Chan Shun Concert Hall of the Chan Center for the Performing Arts on the UBC campus.
The medallists are:
• Wallis Chiahua Sung - Grade 6 flute
• Emily Xu – Grade 3 piano
• Cindy Yen - Grade 4 flute
• Sam Yen - Grade 6 saxophone
