The organizer of White Rock’s first-ever TEDx talk is searching for residents who have an idea worth spreading.
Jamie MacDonald says a TEDx talk is “like hosting an awesome dinner party with great food, inspirational videos, brilliant speakers and stimulating conversation.”
TEDxWhite Rock, like other TEDx events, is being planned under a license granted by TED, MacDonald noted.
“It is our community’s opportunity to spark conversation and connection through a TED-like experience at a local level. We are actively looking for people in our community with an idea worth spreading.”
Prospective speakers will have to go through a vetting process before being selected. MacDonald said the event will need approximately 12 individuals to participate in the May 31 event, which is to be held at Blue Frog Studios.
A committee has been arranged for the vetting process.
