Here’s just a few of the many reasons to venture to Cultus Lake this summer. When it’s only a 90-minute drive from Vancouver, it’s hard to disagree.
1. There’s Always Something New at Cultus Lake Waterpark
Visit the Biggest Waterpark in BC! The park is loaded with over 16 waterslides, 5 hot tubs, a lazy river, 5 food outlets, 150 covered cabanas, and more. There is even a NEW slide for 2016!
2. Cultus Lake Adventure Park is Vancouver’s Newest Theme Park
Cultus Lake Adventure Park is the expansion of Giggle Ridge Adventure Golf. This park now has 11 rides, including a rollercoaster, bumper boats, and Canada’s only 360 pendulum ride. Gate admission is free, so anyone can walk through and explore the park.
3. Sunsets & Breathtaking Scenery
Nestled between the beautiful mountain backdrop, Cultus Lake is a great place to take in the sunsets, and truly enjoy the beauty of British Columbia. Stop by Main Beach and take a walk on the intertwining piers, or rent a Paddle Board, Kayak, Canoe, or Peddle Boat to explore the area
4. Forest Tea Parties
Teapot Hill is a short two-hour hike into the mountains of Cultus Lake. Once at the top you can see a bird’s eye view of the lake, but the best part of this hike is counting the teapots that are hidden throughout the trail.
5. Biking Destination
Vedder Mountain is quickly becoming a popular mountain biking destination. With 68 different trails ranging from easy to very difficult, this is the perfect mountain for biking enthusiasts and first timers (as well as trail runners, horse riders and hikers).
6. Camping (and all that comes with it!)
With many campgrounds and cabins to choose from, it’s easy to make this an extended vacation.
