Crash site is at the south end of Pitt Lake

A plane has crashed at the south end of Pitt Lake.

A mayday call was received at the Pitt Meadows Airport just after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police, fire and ambulance responded to the scene.

An air ambulance was also called to help.

Witnesses say the plane is upright and floating.
