SURREY — Police continue to investigate a fatal crash that claimed the life of an 84-year-old man in Newton last Thursday morning.
The victim’s name has not been released. He was pronounced dead at Royal Columbian Hospital.
The crash happened in the 6900-block of 142 Street. No charges have yet been laid. The SUV involved reportedly was backing up when the pedestrian was struck.
