Good Samaritan turns in envelope full of cash to Delta Police

An envelope of cash was found in the area of the 6900-block Nicholson Rd. on Dec. 14 and turned over to police the following day.

Did you lose an envelope full of cash near Scottsdale Centre?

Delta Police are searching for the money’s rightful owner after a Good Samaritan turned it in on Dec. 15.

According to police, the Samaritan was leaving his workplace at about 5 p.m. on Dec. 14, and noticed an envelope laying on the ground in a parking lot near a commercial garbage can. Inside he found an unspecified amount of currency.

Unfamiliar with reporting processes, the Samaritan continued home with the envelope and reported his find to police the following day.

The parking lot in question is located in the area of the 6900-block Nicholson Rd. If this is your money and you are able to confirm the amount, denominations and the type of envelope, please contact the Delta Police and quote file number 16-26252.
