UPDATE: Pedestrian killed after South Surrey crash

2 vehicles involved in crash at 24 Avenue and King George Boulevard Tuesday afternoon

UPDATE: The injured pedestrian has passed away, Surrey RCMP told Peace Arch News on Wednesday afternoon.

A serious collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian shut down the busy intersection of 24 Avenue and King George Boulevard for hours on March 29.

According to Surrey RCMP, the incident happened just before at 4:30 p.m., at the height of the afternoon rush hour, and sent one person to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police also noted via email that “the investigation into the factors that led to the collision is ongoing” while adding that investigators are still requesting dash-cam or CCTV footage of the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-camera footage is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
