A man and child landed in hospital this week after being pepper sprayed at the Newton Bus Exchange.
On Thursday, at about 2 a.m., police were called to 137 Street and 72 Avenue, after a report of the attack.
Three men have been arrested, and police believe the attack may have been random.
It is believed that the victims and the attackers are not known to each other.
It is not thought that the attackers were attempting to rob the man, but the motive is not clear.
The Newton Bus Exchange has long been a hotbed of criminal activity.
Less than two years ago, a hockey mom was beaten to death outside a rink about 100 meters away from the exchange.
Since then, the community has been fighting for better police protection in the area.
