SURREY — Homicide investigators are on the scene after a man died in Surrey early Thursday morning.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team s investigating in the 13100-block of 65B Avenue, where a fight involving a group of men broke out just before 2 a.m., Global BC reported.
According to Sgt. Bari Emam, Surrey RCMP and ambulance dispatch received a call at that time about a man with life-threatening injuries. They arrived and took him to hospital, but he died several hours later.
Emam was unable to provide the man’s age or identity.
The death comes just a few hours after another man was shot in the Clayton Heights neighbourhood Wednesday afternoon.
The area of the homicide has been cordoned off by police.
