Man shot during armed vehicle robbery in Abbotsford

Police say suspects have been arrested, no risk remains to public

A man was shot during an armed vehicle robbery in Abbotsford on Saturday night (Feb. 17).

The Abbotsford Police Department says they got the call for the robbery around 7:05 p.m. and arrived in the 3600-block of Townline Road to find one man with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital while police worked to track down his stolen vehicle.

Abbotsford police say they called in an RCMP helicopter and, with the help of other law enforcement, were able to find the vehicle in Coquitlam.

Multiple suspects were arrested and police say no threat remains to the public.

The department’s major crimes unit is investigating and is asking for anyone with information to contact them.
