NEW WESTMINSTER — A memorial service has been planned in memory of the 19-year-old Surrey man who was beaten to death with a baseball bat in New Westminster in December.
It has been more than a month since Meskine was attacked near the 22nd SkyTrain station. His injuries left him in a coma and he was later taken off life support.
A 16-year-old boy, whose identity is shielded by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Organizers of the Facebook page R.I.P Karim have announced the memorial service will be held on Feb. 8th from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at John Robson elementary in New Westminster.
