The second of three weekend Pattullo Bridge closures this summer will take place this weekend.
TransLink will close the bridge on Friday at 9 p.m. until Monday at 3 a.m. Crews will be repairing sections of the concrete deck and repaving portions of the bridge. The work will not involve structural issues such as narrow lanes, barriers to protect pedestrians and cyclists, or seismic concerns that have caused TransLink to explore options of replacing or repairing the bridge in its 76th year.
The first closure occurred the weekend of July 20-21 with the final one coming Aug. 24-25. If heavy rain causes a postponement of any of the work, it will be completed the Sept. 7-8 weekend.
