Pedestrian killed in North Delta, witnesses sought

DELTA — Delta Police are looking for witnesses to a traffic crash that killed a pedestrian this past Sunday afternoon.

It happened in the 7200-block of Scott Road, at 2 p.m.

The victim, a 70-year-old Delta woman, had been walking with her husband when a vehicle struck her as it was making a right turn onto Scott Road. Her name has not been released.

Police said the driver stopped and tried to help her. She died in hospital, with her family by her side.

The Delta Police are asking witnesses to contact Constable Grayson Smith of the Delta Police traffic section, at 604-946-4411 and quote file number 15-15680.
