Surrey Mounties want a chat with a man who might be connected to crimes that happened in the 13300-block of 89A Avenue more than a month ago, on Feb. 18.

That morning, at around 2 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded a report of “a suspicious circumstance” there, after receiving a report of shots fired. Police didn’t locate any suspicious activity, but just a few hours were called to the 13300-block of 88 Avenue, where they investigated evidence of shots fired. No injuries were reported.

“Images of a suspect have been obtained, and after exhausting all investigative avenues, investigators are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect,” says a news release posted to bc-cb.rcmp-grc.gc.ca on Thursday, March 28.

The suspect is described as a South Asian man with medium build, black shaggy hair and blacked trimmed bear. He wore a long-sleeve sweatshirt and jogging pants, and carried a backpack with reflective stipes.
