SURREY — A Surrey man accused of threatening another man with a weapon was arrested in Bolivar Heights on Monday after the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team was called to a residence.

It happened in the 14000-block of 110th Avenue, at about 3:30 p.m.

Police received a 911 call from a man saying he was threatened while trying to collect some of his belongings there.

"The discussion about the property became volatile, and the second male threatened the caller with a weapon and that the caller would be killed," Surrey RCMP Staff Sgt. Murray Hedderson said. "The calling male fled from the property and called the police."

Police have not disclosed what the alleged weapon was.

A 56-year-old man was arrested.
