The Surrey school district hits 100 COVID-19 exposure notices at more than 40 different schools.
Surrey school district Superintendent Jordan Tinney and the district have been tweeting out exposure notices at schools almost daily since schools reopened Sept. 8.
Meantime, there have been a handful of exposure notices at independent schools in the city.
Fraser Health created a webpage listing school exposures, including those at independent schools.
They are broken down by district and then whether it was an exposure, a cluster or an outbreak.
An exposure is a single person with a confirmed positive case who attended school during the infectious period.
A cluster is “two or more” people with positive cases who were at the school during their infectious period.
An outbreak is “multiple” people with positive cases and transmission “is likely widespread within the school setting.”
