Update: Surrey bowling alley owner accused of seven sex-related offences

SURREY — Surrey bowling lane co-owner Thomas Charles Cooper has pleaded guilty to one count of sexual interference with a minor.

Cooper, 43,  is  the co-owner of the Dell Lanes and Sports Lounge. He pleaded guilty to the single charge on April 11 in Surrey provincial court, where he is to be sentenced on June 19.

He had originally been charged with seven sex-related offences that included sexual exploitation, exposing genitals, sexual assault and sexual interference of a person under 16.

Despite the charges, Cooper had been allowed to continue with his duties at the bowling lanes. Those conditions have not changed.

Surrey RCMP said they have been monitoring the case to make sure there is no breach of his release.

The Dell Lanes are located at 10576 King George Boulevard.

The Dell Lanes offer a variety of adult and youth leagues running throughout the year.
