UPDATED: Another dead body found in second car in North Surrey

SURREY — Homicide Investigators have revealed the identity of an Abbotsford man whose body was found inside an SUV in Whalley.

It was the second time in two days that a body had been found in a vehicle in North Surrey.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was called to the 9500-block of 139th Street on Feb. 27th  after the body of Michael Donald Amy, 34, was discovered inside an SUV there that morning. Police have not revealed how Amy died. "It is our belief at this time that this was not a random act," Sgt. Stephanie Ashton, spokeswoman for IHIT, said.

Meantime, foul play is not suspected after the body of a 49-year-old man was found slumped over in the front seat of a parked car near Scott Road and Nordel Way on Feb. 25th. His name has not been released.

Police say a passerby found the man at about 1 p.m.

A coroner has yet to confirm the cause of death.
