SURREY — A woman whose body was found in an apartment near 127th Street and 103 Avenue Friday night has been identified by police.
Salamawit Girma, 25, was the victim of an apparent stabbing, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
IHIT took over the case when police deemed the death suspicious at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning. She was found at about 11 p.m. on Friday night.
Girma's husband has been in contact with police and is cooperating, police say.
Investigators are still looking into events leading up to the woman's death.
