David William Bjork

November 3, 2023

January 18, 1964 - November 3, 2023

In loving memory ~

On Friday, November 3, 2023, David William Bjork, surrounded in love, went to be with the Lord. David is survived by his loving wife of 32 years and high school sweetheart, Corinne as well as his eldest son Daniel (28), only daughter, Charissa (25), and youngest son, Joshua (20).

David was born in New Westminster, British Columbia Canada on January 18, 1964, to Mildred Hallson, and chosen father, Jack Lee and chosen mother, Grace Lee. David was the youngest of eight children and is survived by his eldest sister Rita Anne Haggstrom (husband John), sister Linda Rosanne Hallson (partner Frank), and brother Gary Lee Hallson (wife Jacky). David is also the chosen brother to Donna Henningson, Debra Warlimont, and Len Lee, as well as a family member to many. David now dines at the Lord's table with his five siblings, his brother, Michael John Charles, and sisters, Barbara Jean, Susan Marie, and Deborah Lynne. David will forever remain a cherished little brother and friend to his siblings. David was blessed to have incredibly loyal, caring, and charismatic friends in his life. Keeping these relationships was one of the values David held dearly and was of great importance to him. These friendships include one of his first and best friends that he met at the young age of fifteen, Tony Fox.

David was a man of many talents and skills. There was nothing David could not do once he set his mind to it. This drive pushed him through a career as an entrepreneur. From starting his own bathtub business to running the Shuswap Lake Park Store, running a restaurant in the Langley Quality Inn Hotel with his eldest son Daniel, starting Cappuccino Corner with his wife Corinne in 1991, and lastly owning his own moving company. This company allowed him to drive from White Rock, BC to Halifax, NS in a motorhome towing a moving trailer in 2020 with his wife and three children, all along for the ride.

David accomplished many things in the business world, but his truly remarkable talent was his ability to serve others. His loving, foster parents, Grace and Jack Lee, with their three children, helped to inspire David to do all he could for others. This giving attitude extended from family to friends to complete strangers. It didn't matter who they were. David spent his 59 years on this earth being in service to others and living a life through Christ, his ultimate desire.

In David's final years, he explained he had a crazy ride in the workplace world, but for the remainder of his time he wished to serve those around him, and that's exactly what he did.

On David's behalf, as his family, we would like to express our gratitude to the doctors, nurses, social workers and other staff members of the G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel BC, the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia in Prince George BC, and the Surrey Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Units. Thank you for the comfort and care that you provided to our family, and we are so grateful for the time we were given with David before he passed. A special thank you to Dr. Gregory Haljan of Surrey Memorial Hospital. We will always be grateful for the excellent care David was given under your leadership.
