PERKINS, Dorothy Jean
Jean Perkins, 95, passed away surrounded by her family on April 3, 2016 at the Irene Thomas Hospice Residence, Delta. Dorothy was born February 22, 1921, in Toronto, the daughter of Ethel & Gilbert Munro. She was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd K Perkins on March 28, 1991. Dorothy was an amazing, vivacious woman, with a love of life that continued until the end. She proudly sang on stage with the Vaudevillians as their oldest member and was an active member of the Kennedy Seniors Recreation Centre for 25 years. She is survived by her brother William, her sister Ruth, her two sons, Wes and Ken, as well as 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family will be holding a celebration of her life on April 17 at 2:00 pm at the Kennedy Seniors Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Delta Hospice Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kennedy Seniors Centre.
