FREINHOFER, Fred. Born on July 2, 1928 in St. Florian, Austria and arrived in Vancouver in 1951. Fred passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on January 11, 2008 at Surrey Memorial Hospital. He lost a valiant battle with cancer after a nine year struggle. Fred is survived by his loving wife of forty eight years, Herlinde, daughter Astrid (Doug), and son Derrick (Laurie). Fred will forever be a guardian angel, watching over his four adored grandchildren; Shelby, Breanna, Dylan and Victoria. No service by request, but rather a small celebration of life will be held for close family and friends.
