COWIE, Mary Elizabeth (nee Nicol)
August 8, 1926 - July 27, 2012. Mary passed away peacefully at age 85 at Surrey Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 27, 2012. She was born in Forest Lawn, Alberta on August 8, 1926. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Hazel Nicol, her brothers, Fred and Alex, her nieces, Pat and Lori, and her nephew Jim. She was a cherished Mother to her 4 children, Rick (Betty), Janet (George), Ken, and Rob (Kim) and was an adored grandmother to her 7 grandchildren. Mary most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially loved to cheer her children and grandchildren at sporting events. She had a generous, warm heart and a willingness to help others. Mary was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Our family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff and all her friends at 'Elim' where she enjoyed living her past 6 years.
