IGGULDEN, Robert Edward (Bob). November 23, 1919 - August 5, 2011. Bob passed away in Surrey Memorial Hospital surrounded in love by his family. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 67 years, Marjorie, and his four sons, Wayne, Bruce, Del and Glenn, their spouses, and nine grandchildren. In addition, he leaves two sisters, Phyllis Robison and Vera York and their families, and sister-in-law Joyce Pomeroy. Bob was born in Halcourt, Alberta, and grew up in Surrey on Hartnell Hill, (Fry’s Corner). He attended Tynehead Elementary, and graduated from Vancouver Tech. After his plane crashed while serving in the RCAF during WW2, he returned home to marry his sweetheart and raise his family in Cedar Hills. Bob was one of the founding members of SMH, lobbying the provincial government in Victoria for a hospital in Surrey. He worked for the Unemployment Insurance Commission in New Westminster, and served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Civil Servants Credit Union. Bob was also a past President of the West Townline Ratepayers Assoc., and an active supporter of the Canadian Arthritic Society. Along with his wife Marj, he attended countless plays, concerts, dance recitals, baseball, soccer, hockey games and Graduations involving their nine grandchildren; Elisha, Jamie, Dustin, Cameron, Amy, Nikita, Lexi, Christina, and Alanna. Bob loved his vegetable garden, and he loved to fish. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, Dad and Grampa.

Bob will be dearly missed. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Fraser Heights Funeral Home, 14835 Fraser Highway, on August 13, at 10AM. Donations may be made in Bob’s memory, to the BC Cancer Society.
