Virginia May Baker

June 18, 1932 - April 2, 2019
Our beautiful mother passed away peacefully in the early morning of April 2, 2019.
Mom was born in New Westminster to White Rock pioneers Allan & Jeanette Anthony. She was predeceased by our dad, Peter Baker, her siblings Alice Samson, Jeannette Weston, Phyllis Browne, James Anthony and Patricia Collishaw. She is survived by her children Mary (Ross), Dave (Tracy), Julie (Oscar), and Mike (Crista), 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was a sweet lady. She was loved by all who knew her. She loved to draw and at a young age, would sketch her mom, dad, brother and sisters in caricature. She continued her drawings with Dad and us kids - some were serious portraits and others were funny cartoons. She enjoyed time with family and spent countless hours with her grandchildren as they were growing up.
We would like to thank the 2nd floor care and nursing staff at White Rock Seniors Village as well as a special thanks to the 2nd floor resident cats, Lucy and Gracie.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 am at Victory Memorial, 14831 - 28 Avenue, Surrey, BC
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
