Wilfred Edward Lasko
Born 27 May, 1957 at 3:27am in Burnaby. He earned his degree as a Library Technician from Langara College and built The Blind Crow Library using his many collections. He was especially enthusiastic about his 20,000 record albums, most of which he catalogued himself using his talking computer. He also collected other music media, movies, Coca-Cola, James Bond, Disney, and elephants to name a few. He was an avid reader and photographer. He was a talented wood worker, creating cabinets, tables, and keepsake boxes, as well as building the shelving and storage boxes for the library. He loved being involved in AA and was able to complete a dream vacation recently by going to Founder’s Day in Akron, Ohio and to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. He was an inspiration to many as he did not let his blindness or diabetes stop him. He is survived by his sisters, Jesalee (Tim, Krystal); Tamalee (Ian), and Janet (Larry, Asher, Rebecca, Ben). We will miss you. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Alano Club of Chilliwack, 46065 Victoria Ave., Chilliwack on Thursday, June 29 at 1:30-3:30. Food and refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
