Be proud of raising our future citizen

Congratulations for making/choosing the most difficult job there is.

Re: Kristine Salzmann’s column about being a stay-at-home mom, Leader opinion, Aug. 30).

Congratulations for making/choosing the most difficult job there is: working at home, caring, feeding, educating, socializing, loving, nursing, supporting and guiding our future Canadian citizen.

Your prominent career friends will gladly pay someone else to do exactly what you are doing, so throw out your guilt and praise yourself for choosing this prominent career post now in your life.

Remember, this time will never come again; the opportunities to make more money and achieve different career posts will come again soon enough.

A parent who takes on your job position should polish up their self-worth and when asked, “what do you do?” gladly proclaim, “I am a Work at Home Mom-Educator” or “Work at Home Dad-Educator” or even, “Domestic Engineer.”
