LETTER: Rodeo in Surrey suggests most teens are just out for themselves

The Editor,

Re: "Rodeo reveals who can parent," the Now, May 22.

What a great column! The world falls further and further into disarray as the years go on. I too am shocked by what I hear coming out of people's mouths. Little kids swear like proverbial truck driver/sailors and parents seem to be letting their kids dress more and more inappropriately.

No more is the time when a kid shows some rebellion by piercing an ear - they did that in kindergarten. Manners are a thing of the past too.It seems our kids have picked up a "dog eat dog" world message and almost everyone is out for themselves. It's a sad state of affairs.
