I think we need to have the RCMP remind pedestrians, especially seniors, how dangerous it can be to cross the road when they don’t have the right of way.
I live in Guildford and we now have two accidents in the same week where seniors are crossing on a wet and dark evening in a crosswalk but on the driver’s green.
It is really unfortunate with what has happened to the seniors here lately, especially the one in my complex that I went to try and help (and am having a tough time dealing with).
Pedestrians/seniors who are jaywalking or crossing against the light, wearing dark clothes when it’s dark and raining, are really bad combinations.
