• Roses and much gratitude and appreciation to the three gentlemen in Fraser Heights who pulled out our daughter’s car from the snow just before the Highway 1 westbound entrance on a recent Sunday night. Thank you for caring and taking the time to help someone in need. We wish there were more people like you.

• Roses to the Fraser Heights Montessori staff for driving my child to the centre in heavy rain, to ensure she stayed warm and dry!

• Many roses to the person who designed the cartoon on Page A10 in the Jan. 13 issue of the Now-Leader. It is so true. Not everyone has a computer, internet or cell phone, but most people have a landline. Hope the politicians read this. Well done!

• Rotten tomatoes to the fast-food restaurants charging 25 cents per bag for takeout/delivery orders. You were already using paper bags before this new bylaw started, why are you charging now? Are we now expected to bring our own bags? But you won’t handle our bags, so we’re supposed to put it in our bags ourselves? It’s so ridiculous!

• Red roses to Matt Brown, Central Traffic Operations with the City of Surrey, for his prompt action sending his city workers to plow and clear snow and ice on our cul-de-sac in Fleetwood.

• Rotten tomatoes to many drivers. I’m stunned by people who don’t clear the snow off their rear windows and sometimes side windows as well! Come on people, be safe! Please clean your windows of snow before driving.

• Roses to the Waste Connections fellow putting chains on his truck in Fraser Heights, to do the collection in the area. We appreciate it!

• For the secret helper and compassionate person who shovelled our walkway in the Carlingwood complex, we’d wish to arrange a delivery of a weekly bouquet of yellow tea roses with our sincerest thanks for your kindness. You are awesome!
