Shake hands, drop puck

Whoever negotiated the last agreement, which gave the players a 57-per-cent share of hockey-related revenue, was one crafty SOB.

People whose livelihood depends, directly or indirectly, on the NHL season will obviously suffer hardship if no labour agreement is reached.

But it will not be the end of the world. If the NHL owners and players aren’t raking in the billions of dollars fans spend on professional hockey, someone else will benefit because money never sleeps.

Whoever negotiated the last agreement, which gave the players a 57-per-cent share of hockey-related revenue, was one crafty SOB.

The U.N. should have hired him to broker a peace agreement in Syria.
