Suicide is permanent

Tom Fletcher should write a sequel to this column: “Reality check on adult suicide.”

Re: “Reality check on teen suicide,” Tom Fletcher, The Leader, Nov. 20.

This is the best researched, well-written, covering-all-bases column I have read on this subject.

Because teens have not reached the age of maturity, they make immature, permanent fatal decisions on their lives that if they faced reality, the would realize, that all of their problems are temporary and will pass in time.

Tom Fletcher should write a sequel to this column: “Reality check on adult suicide.”

Most adult suicides are not the “assisted suicide” type and also involve a temporary problem with at permanent fatal result.
