This is just a short thank you to the clean-up crews at the recent Vaisakhi parade and festival along 128 Street in Newton.
I saw on television that night that there was a group of volunteers continually driving around picking up the garbage from this event on Saturday, April 23.
I had to drive along 128 Street to my daughter’s place on Sunday around 3 p.m. and 128 Street from 88 to 80 Avenues was immaculate, with no garbage piled anywhere. A few tents were left, but not enough to be an eyesore.
Way to go! Thanks so much for caring about your neighbours and your community. It was noticed and appreciated.
