B.C. all-star Johnathan Kongbo of the Holy Cross Crusaders is among 16 players selected to play in the Surrey All-Star Classic game Saturday night at Enver Creek Secondary.

The best graduating players in Surrey high school basketball will take to the court one last time Saturday night for the Surrey All-Star Classic at Enver Creek Secondary.

Sixteen players have been chosen for the boys game, which tips off at 7:30 p.m. A girls game is slated for 6 p.m.

Four all-stars will come from the Tamanawis Wildcats, the Surrey RCMP Classic champions and the third-place team at the B.C. Boys High School 4A Championships last month in Langley.

Sukhjot Bains, the Most Valuable Player at the RCMP Classic and a first-team all-star at the provincial tournament, leads the Wildcats quartet chosen. RCMP all-stars Sukhman Sandhu and Parmvir Bains, as well as Parmvir Bains, were the other Tamanawis players invited to the All-Star Classic.

Other RCMP Classic all-stars chosen to play at Enver Creek Saturday include Kevin Alexandrov and Emeka Okuma of the Fleetwood Park Dragons, Nick Smith of the Lord Tweedsmuir Pangthers, Anoop Nahal of the North Surrey Spartans, Nimrit Plaha of the Panorama Ridge Thunder and Skylar Sheehan of Semiahmoo Totems.

Smith and Sheehan will not be able to participate due to injury, but Bright Dodoza and Jonathan Kongbo of the Holy Cross Crusaders have been been added to the line-up for Saturday's All-Star Classic.

The Crusaders did not compete at the RCMP Classic, but went on to place second at the provincial 4A tournament, where Kongbo was a first-team all-star.

The 18 girls in the All-Star Classic come from six Surrey high schools, including a half dozen players from the Holy Cross Crusaders.

Coming off a season in which they placed third at the B.C. Girls 3A tournament in Langley, Holy Cross will be represented by Rachel Beauchamp,

Michelle Poe, Amy Sprangers, Samanatha Beauchamp, Michelle Bos and Alli Buck in Saturday's game.

Bos and Samantha Beauchamp were Dream Team All-Stars at the Surrey Fire Fighters Classic in January, an all-Surrey title won by the Crusaders, while Bos and Rachel Beachamp were second team all-stars at the provincial tournament.

Other players from the Fire Fighters' Dream Team playing in the All-Star Classic include Sarah Buckingham of the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers, Keerti Jhutti of Tamanawis and Harleen Atwal of the Enver Creek Cougars.
