A pair of female hockey teams repped Surrey at B.C. championships in different cities in the final days of March, and both skated away with silver medals.

The Surrey Falcons U15 and U13 squads finished second at season-ending tournaments in Castelgar and North Saanich, respectively.

Coached by Riley Hanberg, the U15s lost 5-2 to Richmond Ravens in their championship final on Sunday, March 25. Led by Zoe Smaill’s seven points and Claire Lee’s goaltending, the team had three wins in five games at the tournament.

On Monday (March 26), the Ryan Weber-coached U13 Falcons fell 3-2 to North Shore Winter Club’s squad in the championship final, played at Panorama Recreation Centre in North Saanich. The Surrey team skated to five wins in seven games at the provincial tourney.
