Surrey leads the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 goes tonight (Tuesday) in Cowichan, with Game 5 slated for South Surrey Thursday.

On Monday, Surrey forward Brett Mulcahy opened the scoring just three minutes into the first frame, but in the period's final minute, Capitals' Devin Gannon tied the game with a power-play goal.

It was all Capitals from that point forward, as the team scored two goals in each of the final two periods to seal the win, two of which came from Gannon, who completed the hat trick.

Eagles' defenceman Devon Toews scored the visitors' lone goal in the third period.

After both squads struggled on the power play in the two weekend games in Surrey, Monday was a special teams battle. Cowichan went 2-for-7 with the man-advantage, while the Eagles were 1-for-5.
